Sean Pratt Non-Fiction Narration coaching session – Tuesday May 9 at 10am UK.

Apr 4, 2023 | Booth Chat | 45 comments

Hello guys I am thrilled to announce that another narration legend is coming to Booth Chat!

Sean Pratt, narrator of over 1,000 audiobooks in almost every genre and recipient of countless awards, will be helping 6 lucky BoothChat members to fine-tune their Non-Fiction Narration skills during a one hour coaching session on Tuesday 9th of May at 10am UK.

Sean Pratt has been a working professional actor in theatre, film, TV and voice-overs for over 30 years, an audiobook narrator for 22 years and is also the author of “To Be or Wanna Be – The Top Ten Differences between a Successful Actor and a Starving Artist,” an actor’s how-to book on success in the industry.

When I asked Sean what he’d like from us in return for this extremely generous offer, he said “I’d ask that they’d send their friends to check out my website, visit Ana Clements’ Clubhouse rooms, and buy me a drink if they ever meet me in person.😎❤️👍🏻”.

For more details click here to visit his website.

And here is the recording of the session…..thanks again Sean, it was amazing!

And here you can listen to Sean’s very own recordings of the 3 scripts used in the session.

      Hi Tom

Is it OK if I arrive half way through to watch and listen? I don’t think I’ll be free until half 10…

      Thanks
      Anthony

Of course Anthony! I don’t seem to get notified by Zoom when people arrive after the meeting starts for some reason. I’ve asked them about it but I’m still waiting for a response from them. The quickest and most efficient way to contact me is via WhatsApp if that helps. Don’t forget I’m in Spain so my number is +34717703787

Hey, I’ve had coaching with Sean. He’s an amazing narrator and NF performance coach. Great job to get him on the call! I’d love to read for him but I’ve not been a regular joiner since the time change so I’m not sure if I qualify. If I do, please put me down for the hat 🙂

Hello Deborah, yes of course I’ll put you in the draw. I just try and make sure that those who’ve been attending the weekly sessions get a slight advantage in the selection for guest coaches. But your name is in the draw! Thank you

Tom, I have skimmed through Sean’s document. Please can you kindly confirm what preparation Sean would like us/the readers to do ahead of the session. There is a lot of information there and also several scripts. Thanks.

Yes it was a document that Sean used in a recent talk he gave, I think a lot of the information is for discussion purposes. I think all you need to do is familiarise yourselves with the 3 scripts and maybe choose one you’d like to try with Sean. That’s all! Don’t worry about anything eles other than the 3 scripts and which one you want to read, ok?

Tom, just to say that, on looking at the scripts, which are pretty long – and bearing in mind there are 6 of us reading – I can stay for the full hour today but not much longer.

Tom, I do have the full hour so no need to push me up the queue if we are running to time!

Deborah you’re absolutely right, I’m sorry, I’m only human and make mistakes! I can only apologise! I try and make note of all the names as they come in but sometimes of course I get sidetracked and must have forgotten to put your name down, for some reason. You can rest assured it was a very genuine and unfortunate mistake, I am trying hard to make this a fair and valuable offering to the VO community!
