Hello guys, here are the 2 scripts and the Recording for this week’s Booth Chat, which was on Tuesday 19th September 2023 10am UK. It was so much fun, great to see some new faces in the group and so good to be practising with you guys again!

SESSION STRUCTURE

Below is the summary of the new format which is all about keeping things moving and making sure everyone who wants to read gets the opportunity.

  • 1 hour session
  • Anyone can attend, reading or not
  • Maximum of 9 readers
  • First 5 minutes – put your name down to read, do a cold read before we begin.
  • If you arrive after 5 minutes past the hour you won’t be able to read.
  • The alphabet selects readers from those interested (this week Starting on ‘L’).
  • The remaining 55 mins will be divided by however many readers there are (9 readers = 6 mins each, 8 readers = 7 mins each etc.)
  • Please keep feedback brief!

SCRIPTS

SCRIPT 1: Rats4Cats video advertisement for a new cat toy on the market. Rats4Cats makes a suction cup cat toy that can be placed on any flat surface. On the suction cup, is a highly flexible string with a felt rat (with a block of cheese) on the bottom of the string.

(Excitedly):
“Ahoy there, cat lovers! Are your furry pals in need of a grand time?
Well, have we got a whisker-twitching treat for them! Introducing the ‘Rats4Cats’ Cat Toy!”
(Enthusiasticly):
“It’s the purr-fect playmate, a rat on a string!
Watch as your feline friend pounces, chases, and giggles on their rat.
The string is military grade, they couldn’t snap it if they tried!
(Playfully):
“It’s endless entertainment for your whiskered wonders!
Say goodbye to boredom and hello to endless fun!”
(Invitingly):
“So come on down to Rats4Cats to make your little kitties’ day!”

SCRIPT 2: 20 seconds of audio. We’re looking for a VO artist with a professional yet approachable tone. Tone should feel like a “cool professor” with a small amount of hubris. This should feel editorial in nature, but not have a broadcaster tone.

Investors are navigating a topsy-turvy universe, as if dreamed up by M.C. Escher.
In a world of market paradoxes, up is down and down is up.
Everything we once knew for certain, is no longer true.
Shifts in perspective present new openings and new opportunities.
In a time of unprecedented downside…Imagine the upside.
